As expected, a soft fork will suffice. Those who wish to utilize Quantum & AI resistance only need to update their wallets, and old wallets can continue to use ECDSA as usual. This update is not mandatory.
Therefore, the moment is approaching when it will be possible to send and receive funds to other wallets on the mainnet.
