In a recent post, we introduced a secret encryption memo feature that can be securely recovered anytime using a 16-seed phrase. We mentioned that deleting this data(wallet.dat and walletsql.dat) after use would enhance its security. However, it’s important to note that there exists “data recovery software” in the world, capable of restoring deleted data.
At SORA, in addition to developing blockchain layers L1 and L2, we also conduct research and development on drive inspection and data recovery software. Indeed, it is possible to recover data that has been deleted.
Therefore, simply deleting data does not ensure it cannot be recovered.
To address this, SORA has decided to distribute “data erasure software” that ensures deleted data cannot be recovered by any data recovery software.

Just like that, it guarantees deletion of data beyond the recovery capabilities of any “data recovery software.”
